RHS Engineering Academy follows the Project Lead the Way curriculum. Program coursework is designed to engage students in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers. Students finish the courses with in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in college and in any career path for the rest of their lives.
PLTW Engineering courses engage students in interdisciplinary activities like working with a client to design a home, programming electronic devices or robotic arms, or exploring algae as a biofuel source. These activities not only build knowledge and skills in engineering, but also empower students to develop essential skills such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance. |
Engineering Course Progression
Our Engineering Academy includes Engineering, Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and dual enrollment (college level) courses in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages. These courses prepare you for exciting, rewarding futures in college, the workforce, or the military. Some courses include industry certifications, some transfer as college credit, and some can reduce college tuition costs.
